The results of study showed that three major wheat cultivars released in different periods were significantly different in canopy architecture. Compared with early cultivars Bima 1 and Jinan 2 released in 1950s and 1960s, the modern cultivar Lumai 14 was characterized by shorter plant height, relatively longer upper internodes, and larger I 1 value. Furthermore, Lumai 14 had a smaller leaf length/width and larger flag leaf angle resulting in a smaller extinction coefficient (k) of upper leaf layers and better light interception situation of lower leaf layers, which accounted for its longer green leaf area duration and high photosynthesis duration after spike emergence and anthesis. In order to raise yield potential of wheat cultivars by further improvement of canopy architecture and photosynthesis, some important questions were discussed.

By using water absorbing resin in rubber cultivation in Jinghong, Yunnan Province for drought resistance, fertilizer preservation and early establishment of rubber seedlings, the planting date of rubber seedlings was shifted to the last 10 days of March. The survival rate of rubber seedlings reached 98%. More than 6 leaves could be grown at the end of the year by employing traditional management method, thus the non productive period was shortened and reached rubber tapping early.

By using the technique of Fuzzy Regression, the observed data of the dynamic occurrence of the second generation of tobacco budword in 7 years of 1987~1993 in Yishui, Shandong Province were analyzed quantitatively and the Fuzzy Subfunction set (forecasting model) was established. The results of the tested pest data show that the fitting rate is 85.71%, and the accuracy of forecasting is identical with the actual situation.

In this article, the data of air temperature, the precipitation and the hours of sunshine were used to build a soil water dynamic model. The model is characterized by simple, acurate and using a few of factors and parameters and can be used easily in practice. Considering the negative effect of excessive or short of water on crop growth, the function of drought was defined to evaluate the stress of drought. The methods of defining the drought index, the appropriate irrigation amount were given, too. In terms of observed data of two years, the model was verified to be effective.

The submodel of maize development given in this article is composed of the dynamic model during the period of development, the development dynamic parameters defining the model, leaf age dynamic model and the organ formation model. The soil temperature and soil humidity in the beginging period and the air temperature in growing period were used to simulate the speed of seedling emergence and development, the advance of development, the leaf age index and the developmental characters of organs. The methods defining the developmental parameters and the biological significance were given too. On the basis of four year’s observation, data were used to define three cultivars developmental parameters and verify the model. The results were very good.
