Through investigation on the small lakes in the Basin of Lixia River in Jiangsu, the difference in temperature between water areas and their environments was analyzed. The denaturation and thermal transfer of air current over the water areas, the thermal efficiency of water and its influence on the near farmlands were dicussed. Besides, several models are established for estimating the extent and scope of thermal efficiency rising from water body with different scales.

Relative light intensity and fruit quality factors in different layers and parts of canopy were studied. The results showed that the relative light intensity was reduced gradually from the top layer to the interior of the lowest layer and fruit quality factors were different significently. Regression equation was used to set up the relationship between relative light intensity and the fruit factors. The optimum relative light intensity affecting fruit quality was obtained. The optimum relative light intensity for anthocyania, fruit soluble soild matter, and sugar were 77.9%, 60% and 60%, respectively. The optimum relative intensity for ofher quality factors were above 52%.

The three dimensional migration trajectories of N.Lugens were calculated with simulated three dimension wind fields data derived from a mesometeorological model. These trajectories were analyzed combined with the insect radar observed data, The results showed that: (1)The three dimensional trajectories revealed the migration direction of N.Lugens is from Northeast to Southwest; (2)When they fly, their heights of flight are varied with time; (3)The three dimensional trajectories are coloser to the facts of N.Lugens’s migration and flight than the conventional two dimensional trajectories.

The occurrence of the first frost in Shihezi was analyzed by using the Grey Markov Chain model for prediction of first frost. The results showed that the predicted date of occurrence of the first frost in 1995 was on October 18th, which tallied with the actual situation.
