    Field microclimate effeets of the improved 3:1wheat-cotton intercropping pattern and its influ -ences on wheat growth and yield were studied,using the common 3:1 pattern as control.The resultsshowed significant differences between the two patterns for field microclimate effects.Wheat height,spike length and thousand kernel weight of the two paterns had little difference,Wheat grain filling in-tensity of the improved 3:1 pattern was less than that of the common 3:1 pattern,so were the fer-tile spikelet number and the kernel mumber per spike. But spike number and yield per hectare of the former were much higher than those of the latter(yield of the former was 462kg per heetare higher than that of the laltter.)

    Detailed studies were conducted on the relations between rice yield increments and differences inclimatic elements,eievations and growth duration by analysing rice varieties and ecoclimiatic factors.and ecoclimatic parameters were derived for rice introduction. The following results were obtained:(1)When the climatic difference between the sites of introduction and origin is less than 7,the ricevarieties introduced tend to adapt the new environment better and may produce higher yields;(2 )InGuizhou Plateau,the yield incremets for the introduced rice varieties are corelaled with the elevationsof the original sites,the smaller the elevation defferences between sites are,the greater the yield incre-ments will result;and(3)Introduction is likely to succeed if the growth duration for the introducedvariety is less than 7 days.

    A method for estimating the dew duration in pear tree canopy is reported in this paper.It predictsthe dew conditions through the mathematical distancee among diffferent weather vectors compused ofair temperature,dew ,point,relative humidity,cluud amount and wind speed recorded at fixed timeeach day by the standard weather station. This method is simple and reliable and gives a good referenceto the standard weather stations to estimate the dew conditions of surounding crop canopy in largearca.
