According to the observed field information from the place located in Shuoyang County(Shanxi Province),this paper discussed a new kind of field mulch-grassy fibre film mulch(GFFM)and contrasted its effects with those of plastics film mulch(PFM)on soil physico-chemical feature, soil temperature, soil water condition and the growth and development ofSpring maize,The results indicate that GFFM and PFM could improve soil structure,harmo-nize relations between soil temperature, soil water condition and crop development, decreasesoil evaporation, raise crop water utilization efficiency. Compared with PFM,GFFM has nobad effect of soil pollution so,the GFFM would be one of the effective ways to solve the“drought”and “poor” problem in the dry farming areas of Northern China.

Based on the regional experimental data of rice varieties in Fujian and the parallel obser-vation climatic data, the growth duration mathematic models for different rice varieties wereset up,which is suitable for Fujian province. Using the models parameters as indexes in com-bination with the fuzzy similar priority comparison method, made quantitative appraisal andclassification of ecoclimatic characteristics for different rice varieties.

The measurement technique of methane emissions from ruminant livestock ushg SF6tracer method was described, which included the basic principle, instrument preparation and the experiment condition. The suitable sample collection apparatus, tracer parameter, andmethane analysis in Chinese condition was developed. The tracer method is an easy mean foracquiring a large methane emissions data base from ruminant livestock in production condi-tions.

The results of studies on ecological condition in interplanting cotton row under differentplant height of wheat showed that there were clear relationships between the soil tempera-ture, the light intensity in interplanting cotton row and the degree, peoried of time of wheatshade. The shade degree was increased with the increasing of plant height of wheat;theshade time of wheat was prolonged with the delaying of wheat maturity date. There were close relationships among the growth of interplanted cotton and the plantheight and maturity date of wheat. The higher was the plants of wheat, the later was themafurity date and so the slower the cotton seedling grew. Therefore, mid early variety with short stalk, high yielding must be chosen to befavourable to both of the cotton and wheat.

Based on the simulation model describing the relationship between water use and thegrowth of wheat, the possible change of crop evapotranspiration in different developmentstages of winter wheat and its impact on wheat yield under warming climate are estimated. The results show that the transpiration and evapotranspiration after jointing stage of winterwheat decreases significantly under temperature increase, which would result in the reduc-tion of dry matter and yield, and the required additional irrigation, therefore the cost of agri-cultural production might be increased.

The main meteorologic calamity that influences on rice yield in San River Plain is lowtemperature. Some studies[1,2,3,] have reported about low temperature and cold damage ofcrops in northeast region, little is known about the type of low temperature and cold damageof rice in the region This through the analysis of meteorologic datum, the objective of thestudy is to discuss the rule of low temperature occurrence and its effect on rice yield, and pro-vide scientific basis for the exploitation of San River Plain, increasing rice yield and reducingcold damage loss.

The theoretical models of the main surplus and deficient variables of runs in dependentseries of the natural precipitations were studied based on sen Z.’s method of runs theories. The aforementioned variables were the upcrossings and downcrossings for finite samplelength and the point number in turn of preassigned truncating level, the expectation of posi-tive and negative run lengths, and the expactation of surplus and deficient run sums,Themodels were checked up with 10-year’s precipitations of zhengzhou in each 10-day peri-ods. It showed that the theoretical is well in agreement with the actual results. It also gavean example of the method to use the models for the actual application.
