After analyse the panicle—grain data of the winter wheat and the meteorological data in Sui zhoucity( 1979~1991),mathematical medels, which simulate the number of tiller dynamics per unitsland area,the number of grains per panicle and the 1000-gran weight,were built respectively. The temperature and the time during the tillering are the primary factors for tiller dynamics per u-nit land area. The basic seedlings and the number of tillels before the winter solstice greatly contributesto the number of panicle per unit land area. The factors of determining grains per panicle are the temp-erature and sunlights from tetrad formation to 12-days after heading and the most seedling per unitland area. As to 1000-grains weight,the temperature and the sun radiation in the milking are impor-tant factors.

The artificial neural network was applied to establish the computer intelligential expert system forprediction of epidemil trend of sclerotinia sclerotiorum based on the information of this diseases formany years in Fufeng county. The successful rate reached 100%. The results showed that the perfor-mance of the neural network approach is good, and therefore it might be referred as an effective assis-tant technique for prediction of epidemil trend of plants.
