Data of microclimate of the paddy field recorded by a micrometeorologi- cal data logger system was analyzed intensively and the microclimatic chara- cters during late rice grain filling period was discussed in detail.Data showed that the quanta value in erect-leaf cultivar was almost as much as two times comparing the one with horizontal-leaf in 15 centimeters height inside the canopy;difference of temperature recored in the surface of plant and leaf between two cultivars inside the canopy was negligible;relative humidity was also recorded at the 1.5 meter height.Experimental data indicated the better utilization of solar energy was the most important factor for contributing higher yielding potential in erect-leaf cultivars.Aside from this, reliability for using this micrometeorological data logger system was also verified.

Wheat scab caused by Gibberella zeae is a typical climatedependent dise- ase.The incidence degree depends largely on the weather conditions(tempera- ture, rainfall, raindays,RH,and sunhours)between late April and ear May, when wheat plants are in the heading-flowering stage. This paper presents a mathematical model used in forecasting the incidence of this disease. The multifactor comprehensive correlation method is used to establish a foreca- sting equation which was found to have a goodness of fit of 95.6%.
