    Using the wind and air temperature profiles measured above wheat communities and wheat canopy characteristic elements(height of plant and LAI et al.)data,the analysis is made of the wheat canopy aerodynamic features.The results show that d,z0,and u■ depend on canopy characteristics and wind speed.Meanwhile the analysis of turbulent statistics in horizontai wind speed within wheat canopy is conducted.The results suggest that L,i,and σ~3 increase end ǖ decreases with the depth in canopy.Inaddition,the turbulent spectrum at high frequency is approximately in accordance with the“-5/3”power law.

    A new concept,the concentrate index of precipitation which is defined as a ratio of the average rainfall per day within the period of the daily temperature≥10℃ to the average precipitation per day in a year,has been put forward to express the seasonal distribution of precipitation.This method of studying Precipitation regime will be usefull in the researches of agroclimatology and physical geography.As an example,the author has calculated and mapped the concentrate index of precipitation over the central and eastern temperate area of the United States as well as the Northern and Northeastern China.
