The effect of fertilizer application on crop yields and nitrogen fertilizer recovery was studied in thirteen years long term experiments under the condition of winter wheat summer corn→spring corn rotation systems. The results showed that the relative quantity of nitrogen uptaken by corns from soils was more than from fertilizers, and it was been vulnerably affected by waterlogging in summer. The results still showed that crops could remain higher yields when nitrogen and phosphorous fertilizers were applied appropriately or blended with organic manure, and the impact of bad weather condition on crops could be mitigated accordingly.

Statistical analyses on the causes category, features, and influence levels of the meteorological disasters on vegetable production in Guiyang were made. Combined with disaster machanism regeneration capability of vegetables, meteorology disasters were graded and classified. Storm, hail, continuous overcast and rainy day, continuous high temperature and humidity, spring drought, cold in late spring were regarded as the six types of heavy meteorological disasters on vegetable production in Guiyang. The last four types of heavy meteorological disasters are the most important for disaster alleviation and disaster protection. Finally, the ways to deal with disasters were proposed in order to arrange the vegetables on the market proportionally.

The construction of output of winter wheat in eastern Henan was analyzed by using the orthogonal polynomial method and the regression equation between the precipitation and the output of wheat was set up by the integral regression method. There is an obvious influence of drought and waterlogging in different periods on the output of wheat. According to the coefficient of influence of precipatation in different growing periods, the regional differentiation was analyzed.

According to the fact that spring drought is the main meteorological disaster affecting agricultural production in Loess Plateau, with multitreated field experiments, the precautions against spring drought of winter wheat and corn were studied. Through statistical tests, the effective precautions against spring drought in seriously arid years were obtained, which can raise the utilization ratio of precipitation obviously.

The correlation between rape white rust and meteorological factors in Lhasa from 1988 to 1990 were analyzed. The main results are as follows:The conditions favorable to the occurrence and development of rape white rust are higher mean temperature higher night mean temperature, less diurnal range of temperature, more rainy days and less radiation, higher relative humidity. Raise the ground temeprature can reduce the occurrence and development of rape white rust.

Based on simulation of wheat growth phase, a computer simulation model for wheat growth optimization and fertilizer application with optimum economic performance was set up. After input simple factors of biology, soil and meteorology, the optimum leaf area, stem and tiller, ammount of economical manure can be simulated, and measurements for high yield were proposed.
