A Study on Spring Drought in Songnen Plain in Recent Year

Abstract

Abstract: Based on the observed data of precipitation and temperature from 1971 to 2004,the spring wetness coefficient and Zhang Bao-kun dry coefficient were calculated in Songnen Plain of Heilongjiang Province.It was concluded that the drought frequently occurred in Songnen Plain in recent springs characterized with long last and serious damage.The spring drought was one of the main disasters affected the grain production.
