A Study on Technical Approaches in Improving Water Use Efficiency of Courtyard Rain-Collection in Ecotone of North Loess Plateau

Abstract: Based on the experiences of the Zhungeer Banner in the Inner Mongolian Autonomous Region,the technical approaches in increasing water transform efficiency of courtyard rain-collection in the ecotone of the North Loess Plateau were studied.For the cropping systems of the courtyard economy,the formula of water transform efficiency was put forward: B=R×C_(1)×C_(2)×C_(3).According to the data of experiments,the values of C_(1),C_(2),C_(3) were determined.The rain transform efficiency B was 9.61 Yuan/m~(3) for vegetables,3.44 Yuan(/m~(3)) for watermelon and 15.93 Yuan/m~(3) for fruits.The average B of three crops was 9.66 Yuan/m~(3).The rain transform efficiency for fruits was the highest and the lowest for watermelon among the three crops.The technical approaches in improving water transform efficiency were put forward.
