Survey Methods of Sugarcane Plant Area Based on HJ-1 CCD Data

Abstract: The training area of sugarcane and other crops was surveyed by using handheld GPS in Nanning. The information of sugarcane planting was extracted by analyzing the variation regularity of spectral characteristics of sugarcane, by using remote sensing methods combining supervised classification, gradual elimination and decision tree classification, based on the multitemporal HJ-1 CCD satellite data in training area. The results showed that the classification precision reached 92.3% both from space distribution trend or area data, the environmental mitigation satellite data (HJ-1) and the classification method could meet the requirements of precision of sugarcane plant area for sugar companies, which could be applied to the sugar companies and other research.
