    A Preliminary Study on Measuring of Wheat Sap Flow and Transpiration

    In order to develop a physiological means of intact plants for determine plant transpiration,a kind of sap flow gauge has been improved,It is based on plant stem heat balance method.The gauge consist of heater and thermocouple.The electronic signal generated by thermocouple were connected to 21X data logger for computer processing.Comparing the sap flow rate measured by heat balance method and transpiration rate by weighing method,the results show that the value obtained by gauges were in good agreement with the value obtained by weighing method.The maximum absolute error is 1.4g/ hour·plant.

    Preventive effects of plant growth regulators 83008,Fengshousu and Kangniji against insufficient illunmination for rice was analyzed in his paper,To the rice plants experiencing the calamity in tilling stage,all the three regulators could effectively enhance net assimilation rate,increase accumulation of dry matter,improve metabolism of soluble carbohydrate and mtrogen and raise C/N ratio,and thus promote the impaired plants to tiller and increase the panicle number.To those filling under the disaster,Kangniji and Fengshousu could validly improve carbohydrate and nitrogen metabolism and decrease nitrogen content in panicles,strengthen root activity and assimilative capacity,increase full grain percentage and 1000-grain weight.Therefore,loss of yield due to insufficient illumination in the two stages could be decreased.
